A song at work

God often speaks to me through songs that come into my mind. It’s usually to encourage me or to give me direction. That’s exactly what happened at work this week. I was being trained and still had to learn and remember everything. One colleague didn’t have much patience with me and kept sighing and complaining. Because of that, I noticed I started to feel less steady. I quietly prayed in my prayer language and whispered, “Holy Spirit, help.” It’s a prayer I pray often when I really need God and don’t have space for a long prayer.

After that prayer, I suddenly got the task of taking out the trash. In that moment I noticed how God immediately provided. Right when I needed a breather, I was asked to step outside. As I walked toward the container, a song came into my mind with the words, “I am enough.” And then another one: “Caught up in Your presence.” Through this, I was completely built up again, because God reminded me that my worth is in Him and that He is with me. When I went back inside, I stood strong again in my identity in Jesus, and I ended up having a good evening at work. Thank You, Jesus!
