Psalm 32:8
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.”
I had borrowed a book with very small print. My eyes aren’t as good anymore, and reading takes a lot of effort. While I was out cycling, I was talking with God. Suddenly I thought: I should look for a magnifying glass. Maybe the thrift store has one. But which shop should I go to? (We have three in our village.) One store immediately came to mind, but then I thought: There are many elderly people here, so there’s probably a lot of demand. But who knows maybe one has just been brought in.
I cycled to that thrift store and asked the employees who were having a coffee outside where I might find a magnifying glass. “Well,” one of them said, “I just received one, but it’s not in the shop yet. I’ll go get it for you.” He came back with a magnifying glass big enough to fit an entire book underneath. Amazing!
In this way, God fulfilled the promise of Psalm 32:8. He is a God who gives counsel and knows exactly what you need. All glory to Him!
